The U.S. wind energy industry is installing wind generators at a breakneck pace. Over 8500 MW were built in 2008 bringing the total installed capacity to more than 25,000 MW in the U.S. This is a growth rate of (2004-2008) 32%

The demand for wind generators is expected to maintain outstanding growth in the years to come.

The WindGen America plant will be a 100,000 sq. ft. facility and will employ 120 skilled technicians. The proposed site is located in an economic redevelopment zone which will qualify the business for State, as well as Federal grants, tax incentives and low interest loans. The regional educational and training schools are developing curriculums in green technology and will provide a dependable resource for a well educated work force.

The Keystone Industrial Port Complex will become a circle of excellence for green technologies as more cutting edge renewable energy manufacturing facilities set up production in this complex. The deep water port will enable the importing of major steel components such as the stator shell, end brackets and the heater exchanger.

WindGen America will be the first U.S. wind generator manufacturing facility in the nation serving as a shining example of America's new green economy.

Power generation accounts for 40% of U.S. CO2 emissions each year. Wind power is an excellent option for rapidly and cost-effectively reducing these emissions.
